Privacy Policy
1.Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Operal AG, Gotthardstr. 26, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. For any privacy matter you can reach us at office@operal.solutions.
2.Scope and legal bases
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only process data where we have a legal basis to do so — in particular your consent, the performance of or steps prior to a contract, or our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.
3.What data we process
3.1 Enquiries and the readiness check: When you use our contact options or complete the “Jurisdictional-Readiness” check, we process the details you provide — such as your name, email address, organisation, role, and the answers you select. This lets us prepare your result and respond to your request.
3.2 Server log data: When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data required to deliver the pages and keep them secure, such as your IP address, browser/device information, the pages requested, and the time of access.
3.3 We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data through this website, and we do not ask you to provide them.
4.Purposes
We use your data to respond to your enquiries, provide the result of the readiness check, arrange and hold consultations, operate and secure the website, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated advertising profiling.
5.Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not use third-party analytics or ad networks. Web fonts are served from our own infrastructure rather than a third party. A strictly technical, temporary language preference may be stored in your browser.
6.Hosting and third-party services
6.1 Hosting: The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. As part of delivering the site, Vercel processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) on our behalf.
6.2 Media: Background videos and imagery are loaded from the media provider Pexels. When these load, your browser contacts Pexels, which may receive your IP address to deliver the media.
6.3 We conclude data-processing agreements with our processors where required and choose providers that offer an appropriate level of data protection.
7.International transfers
Some providers named above may process data outside Switzerland or the EEA (for example in the USA). Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision recognised under Swiss and EU law.
8.Retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and for any resulting business relationship, after which we delete it — subject to statutory retention obligations (e.g. accounting records).
9.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, contact office@operal.solutions. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB) or, in the EU, your local supervisory authority.
10.Automated decisions
The readiness-check score is indicative only. It does not constitute an automated individual decision producing legal or similarly significant effects; every engagement is assessed by a person.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our services or the law. The current version always applies and is available on this page.
